RULES AND REGULATIONS FOR DUDHWA TIGER RESERVE VISITORS
Firearms and Pets: Firearms and pets are strictly prohibited within the reserve.
Walking and Trekking: Walking or trekking within the reserve is not allowed for safety reasons.
Entry Permits: Day visit permits must be obtained at the Dudhwa reception. For overnight stays, contact the Office of the Field Director or Deputy Director.
Visiting Hours and Safety: Visitors must follow designated visiting hours for their safety. Driving after sunset is prohibited due to safety concerns.
Canteen and Cooking Facilities: Canteen services are only available at Dudhwa Tourist Complex. Visitors staying in other rest houses may use designated cooking areas with provided crockery and utensils.
Waste Disposal: Dispose of biodegradable waste in bins provided within the park. Carry non-biodegradable waste (cans, plastic, glass, etc.) out of the park and dispose of it responsibly. Littering can harm wildlife and carries penalties.
Smoking and Fire Restrictions: Smoking is only allowed within residential complexes. Lighting fires is strictly prohibited throughout the reserve.
Fishing: Fishing is not allowed anywhere inside the reserve.
Noise Restrictions: Playing loud music or using transistors/tape recorders is not permitted in the park to maintain a peaceful environment for wildlife.
Designated Routes: Visitors must stay on designated routes only, as wandering off-track can harm wildlife habitats.
Driving Rules: The use of vehicle horns and speeding are prohibited. All vehicles must stay within the speed limits.
Eco-tourism Zone Limits: Visitors are not allowed to venture outside the designated eco-tourism zones.
Respect for Wildlife: Shouting, teasing, chasing, or feeding animals is a punishable offense under the Wildlife (Protection) Act of 1972.
Accommodation Reservations: Reservations require full payment in advance. Permits should be collected by 4 p.m. on the first day of the visit. Uncollected reservations by this time may be canceled.
Alcohol and Non-vegetarian Food: Alcohol and non-vegetarian food are prohibited within the reserve.
Clearance Certificate: Visitors must obtain a clearance certificate before departure, which is mandatory.
Electric and Water Usage: All electrical appliances and water taps must be turned off when not in use.
Vehicle Parking: Vehicles should be parked only in designated areas.
Permit Validity: Entry permits are single-entry, non-transferable, and must be obtained individually for each visit.
Authority and Compliance: The Director holds the right of entry. All visitors must comply with the Wildlife (Protection) Act of 1972 and related regulations.
